Adult Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program

Premier Diagnostic Institute is proud to offer an exceptional Adult Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program. The Program is designed and committed to providing students with critical, dual learning consisting of hands-on classroom instruction and clinical training experience. Premier Diagnostic Institute (PDI) prepares students for the challenging and rewarding career of Adult Cardiovascular Ultrasound. PDI is committed to equipping graduates with the knowledge and skills in performing as competent sonographers that utilize equipment properly, display clinical competency, and provide compassionate patient care. Our mission is to provide the best instruction for students to be professional and skilled Sonographers who work well in any healthcare environment. 

Premier Diagnostic Institute utilizes a curriculum that prepares students for a career in Adult Cardiovascular Ultrasound by applying the experience, knowledge and general skills of accomplished sonographers, educators, and advisors. PDI faculty and staff are committed to the success of students by adopting a dual learning curriculum with didactic instruction and clinical experience. 

Premier Diagnostic Institute offers a 13-month Program that consists of 40 hours per week for 45 weeks, resulting in a total of 1,800 clock hours. The Program, excluding holidays and breaks, will consist of approximately 13 months. This allows for students to complete required clinical hours for Program completion and for students to obtain registry status within the 13th month. The Program is designed to aid students in mastering adult diagnostic ultrasound. PDI teaches students with dual learning through hands-on classroom instruction and clinical training. Time on-campus is spent in the classroom with PowerPoint lectures and professional ultrasound equipment.  Students will learn to scan in the classroom setting before entering the clinical environment. Students will then utilize PDI Clinical Affiliates to gain experience in clinical settings and real patient scanning. Premier Diagnostic Institute’s Adult Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program is held on campus. The clinical portion of the Program is held off campus.
